Spoilers From TV Line - 19th April 2013

PRE-FINALE EPISODES

Bonnie's storyline with her immortal menace/mentor is "going to explode in the penultimate episode as our characters race to get Silas out of the picture," teases executive producer Julie Plec. "The consequences of his plot and what Bonnie has to do to try and stop his plot then live on in the finale." You can also expect "at least one, if not 10 familiar faces" to pop back up in the process. And for those craving some Originals flavor, the April 25 episode is a planted spinoff set in New Orleans that finds Klaus meeting up with his diabolical former protégé Marcel (Grey's Anatomy's Charles Michael Davis).

MAY 16 SEASON FINALE

Once again, a supernatural crisis gets in the way of what should be a happy occasion: Graduation Day for the Mystic Falls seniors. The cure will be ingested, and "the implications of what that means will be a great story to tell next year," previews Plec, who adds that the hour will close with two cliffhangers that will "send the show spinning in a whole new direction." Change is also in store for the series' core trio. "We will know, when the finale is over, where everyone stands in the context of the Stefan/Damon/Elena triangle," reveals the EP. "It will definitely set all three of them on a very different and interesting path when we move forward." Lest you think that means the episode is all about heartbreak and breakups, the EP says that "when all is said and done, it's got some pretty good romantic moments." And some goodbyes? "I cannot comment on permanent deaths, but I will say there will be lots of destruction," replies Plec.

SOMETHING WICKED - As Graduation Day approaches, Caroline (Candice Accola) tries to distract Elena (Nina Dobrev) by focusing on simple tasks like sending out announcements, but Elena won't be swayed from her new obsession. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) calls Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) to the hospital, where someone has been attacking patients. Still trying to force Katherine (Nina Dobrev) to help her, Bonnie (Kat Graham) refuses to give up on her plan to defeat Silas. As a violent wind storm causes a power outage in Mystic Falls, ghosts suddenly appear - some with good intentions and some bent on revenge. Zach Roerig and Claire Holt also star. 5 Things On 4x19 'Pictures Of You'

1. The Fight to be Good: In order to prove to her brothers that her desperation to be human isn't a whim, Rebekah (Claire Holt) tries to spend an entire day free of her vamp privileges. Too bad everyone, including our favorite human Matt (Zach Roerig), doesn't think she can pull it off.

Oh, and guess who are living together? Elena and Rebekah! And these former frenemies are getting along pretty well as Elena is basically Rebekah's prom queen election manager.

2. Klaroline Update: While we're sworn to secrecy about their storyline, we can say that someone notes that everyone's favorite blonde vamp has Klaus (Joseph Morgan) "wrapped around her finger." And Klaus proves it's true by the end of the hour, though he doesn't appear at prom. Come on, that's just be weird.

3. Body Count: During the big dance, more than one life is put in danger (And one of these is a regular). The other is April (Grace Phipps), who wears one of the worst prom dresses and hairstyles in TV prom history. (The O.C.'s Marissa Cooper she is not.)

4. Start of Staroline?: Though Stefan shares a rather intimate moment with his ex Elena on the dance floor, he also shares a dance with his pal Caroline and the chemistry is definitely there between them. And it seems like they might be starting to notice…especially when Caroline tries to give Stefan advice on how to move on.

5. The B-Word: During his prom moment with Elena, Damon drops two b-words during their intense conversation: "Boyfriend" and, er,  "bitch." And yes, she really deserves at least one of these after trying to hit him where it really hurts, aka the sire bond.

Spoiler From E! Online - 17th April 2013

Will we finally see Silas in the prom episode of The Vampire Diaries?

Silas will take on the form of four different characters throughout Thursday night's episode, that sneaky little bastard! As for the show's other big bad (loosely using that term), Klaus? Look for the show to set up The Originals spinoff in a major way by episode's end.

Carina MacKenzie Answers Fan Questions on 4x19 'Pictures Of You'

Will we get a prom king and queen? If so will we get a prom king/queen dance?
We will find out who wins the prom king and queen. We'll also see Elena do some, uh, "campaigning" for Rebekah, her new roommate and only friend.

Does Matt buy someone a corsage?
Well, Matt is Bonnie and Caroline's doting date, but they're all strictly in the friend zone, so I can't confirm or deny whether he actually bought the corsages. I mean... the dude may now live in an enormous mansion, but he still has to eat his Kraft dinners. Maybe he picked some flowers and tied them to a hair elastic or something.

How many innocent MFHS teens are hurt?
Just one. A lot of not-so-innocent teenage supernatural creatures get injured in this one, though. Silas is on the prowl, and he's wearing every body in town. That leaves most of our faves vulnerable.

Delena! What can we expect from Delena?
Shhh. Inside voices. Here's what I'll say -- someone uses the word "boyfriend." But don't get too excited! Of all the high school dances he's inappropriately attended, we're pretty sure this one will go down in history as Damon's least favorite.

Will Matt and Rebekah dance?
I'd tell you, but I'd have to kill you. (Or someone at The CW would kill me.) I can say that Matt's opinion of Rebekah does change in this episode. Since she can't use any of her vampire "perks" -- speed, hearing, compulsion, strength, etc -- she's in a whole new position.

Does Elena have an official date for prom or are the Salvatores just there to keep an eye out?
She doesn't have an official date, but they're not there just as her babysitters. Stefan and Damon are determined to convince her to flip her humanity switch back on -- and they've got Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C ready to put into action.

Will Bonnie get to dance with anyone?
Yes! Bonnie gets a dance. In fact, Bonnie is pretty freaking spectacular in this episode. Kat Graham gives a standout performance as Bonnie rides a roller coaster of grief, anger, and power.

Does Stefan fill part of Carolines dance card for the evening?
YES! YES! YES! Oh, sorry, what was I saying about inside voices? Caroline and Stefan do share a dance... and she suggests that maybe he'll meet someone who will help him move on from Elena. (To which I shouted at my television, "Maybe he already has!") They are just the sweetest.

Can you tell us whether or not Katherine will be in the episode?
Oh, our girl Katherine certainly makes her voice heard.

Zach Roerig - Prom, Graduation, What's Next For Matt This Season

Your character has had to deal with really tough scenes in Season 4. How did you prepare for Matt’s heartbreaking moments in “Stand by Me,” especially the one where he’s crying alone in his pickup truck? A lot of viewers were raving about your performance on Twitter that night!
(Laughs) I should probably check my Twitter more often. To be honest, I didn’t watch the episode live that night. I actually recently just watched it because my sister persuaded me to. As for those scenes, they required a couple days of preparation. There’s all sorts of processes that actors use but, for me, any time my character breaks down, a lot of it is pulled from my true emotions for that person. I do really love Steven McQueen. I do really love all my co-stars like brothers and sisters.
Speaking of Steven, did the cast and crew do anything special his departure?
No, because on this show you’re never really gone.
We’re very excited about TVD prom! Who is Matt going with? And is going to have a better time than he did at the Original ball?
Matt’s definitely going to have a much better time than he did at the Original ball. He’s going with a couple of really good friends [Editor's note: Caroline and Bonnie.] I can’t say too much, but it was exciting putting on a tux and seeing my cast mates in their beautiful dresses. Plus, Matt does have fun and even a hand in saving the day.
At the end of the day, Matt’s usually the hero.
(Laughs) The human hero who’s all beat up and trying to put himself back together.
Aww! Well he’s been amazing to watch this season.
Yea, Matt’s definitely taken on more of a role. He kind of has to. Now that he’s in the circle of trust he needs to get involved or either remove himself completely.
Last time we interviewed you, Matt was heading to the Originals ball and you raved about the dance lessons you and the cast received. What was the best part about filming the senior prom scenes?
I didn’t take any special lessons at all this time. However, the coolest thing about filming the prom scene was that our amazing set department built a barn and the event was held there. And for me, being a Midwestern kid from Ohio, that hit pretty close to home so it was fun filming those scenes.
What is your fondest moment from your own high school prom?
TVD prom is kind of a mirror image of my own prom experience. I went to prom with a couple of good friends instead of a date actually. It was a crazy, crazy, crazy young night many moons ago.
Tyler gave Matt a mansion. Does this mean there’s a housewarming party in Matt’s future?
You know, I think there is. I’m not sure when it’s going to happen but I think there’s a party in the works.
How would you personally decorate Matt’s new digs?
I’d decorate the place with a bunch of traditional Irish decorations and colors and Gaelic symbols. However, the first order is to have a kegger in Tyler’s honor. I’m pretty sure Tyler sent Matt a letter asking him to do that. (Laughs)
Matt and Rebekah will be hanging out at prom and in TVD episode 4.21. In your opinion, should he forgive her for the pain she’s caused him and everyone he loves?
I think that at some point Matt will understand why Rebekah caused the Wickery Bridge accident and acts the way she does. He has a couple of honest moments with her at prom. There’s still something there and we’ll see how that plays out. I don’t think he’ll ever forget what she did but do I think he’ll forgive her? Yea, I do actually. At this point, everyone’s done a bunch of messed up things so everyone’s conscience is clouded. [Moreover,] everyone has a crazy rationale behind what that they did so a beautiful blonde girl could probably easily persuade Matt.
Humanity-free Elena is wreaking havoc in Mystic Falls. Will Matt have a hand in helping reel her back in from the darkness?
Yes, Matt will always have a hand in bringing Elena back to her humanity because, in a way, that is what Matt is. He is Elena’s humanity.
Graduation is coming up. Will Matt have anyone cheering him on during his stage walk?
No, absolutely not. Matt is pretty much an orphan.
Oh gosh. That’s so sad!
(Laughs) It is really sad. However, he’s not going to be alone. He’s going in support of all his friends and they, in a sense, have become his family. Aside from Caroline Forbes who has her mom, no one has any relatives left and we are essentially each other’s family.
Where do you hope your character ends up post graduation?
Well, as always, alive. And a human still. I like Matt being human. I’d also like to see him get freaking promoted at the Mystic Grill. I mean, for how long does he have to be a waiter and bartender? He should at least become a manager at some point.
Interestingly enough, we did a post about five villains we’d love to see in Mystic Falls in Season 5, and Matt as the new Mystic Grill manager was one of them. Of course in our minds, he’d take on more of a Corleone attitude and basically run the town.
I’m totally into that idea! I think that slowly might start to happen if Matt sticks around because he and Damon and everyone are getting chummier. I wouldn’t be too surprised if Damon turned out to be the major stockholder of Mystic Falls.
Well, Damon does have the convertible to go along with that image! And, last question. What do you have planned for the summer in terms of trips or projects?
I don’t have any concrete plans of now. Currently, I’m in the process of trying to structure out my hiatus, still trying to figure it out. There are many things in the works so hopefully it will be exciting.

Spoilers From TV Line - 16th April 2013

In the promo for this week’s Vampire Diaries’ prom episode, Stefan and Elena seem to be sharing a moment — is it genuine or is Elena pitting the Salvatore Bros. against each other? Also, any nice Delena moments in the episode?

Elena and Stefan do share an incredibly heated dance, but it’s his intentions you should be asking about. As for Delena, let’s just say Damon’s doubts about Elena’s feelings for him prove to be a sore spot.

I would love to know if Caroline dances with Klaus at Vampire Diaries‘ prom? It is kind of their thing.
Although Caroline’s dance card is pretty full in the episode, she doesn’t hit the floor with Klaus. That’s the bad news. The good news is that, prior to the big event, those crazy kids do share a nice moment — during which Klaus actually proves to be a friend! Stop the presses!

8 Things About 4x19 'Pictures Of You'

1. We’re getting a lot of questions about “Klaroline,” so… What’s going on there? Not a whole lot. There is a moment where it almost looks like Caroline and Klaus have a friendship or a shared fondness for one another, but I’ve got to be honest and say this is probably not the greatest episode for “Klaroline shippers”… although, Caroline does end up having a good prom night.

2. Bonnie gets some moments of fierceness. Bonnie’s put through the wringer this week, and it sounds like with each emotion, her powers seem to get stronger. Look for some moments of pure Bonnie awesome that the show has been lacking for a while.

3. On that same note… Stefan and Damon decide that maybe the key to getting Elena to turn her emotions back on is to give her really strong, well, emotions. Lexi’s not around to make it happen, but maybe something will get through to her before she’s even further gone? On the bright side, at least she’s not killing people as much.

4. Alaric gets a mention from Elena! Does this mean we’ll see him again soon? I sure hope so. RIP Cult.

5. Rebekah wants to prove that she can function as a human, so she pledges to go to the dance without using any vampire magic. On the flip side, that might mean she has no one to dance with, unless that human Matt Donovan finally gives in.

6. The Originals pilot is kind of set up at the end. This bit took me out of it a little bit, because it was clearly what sends Klaus off for whatever he does next week. It did feel a little tacked on, though.

7. Lots of other stuff happens that we can’t talk about. That includes the this of that, the thing between him and her, and the time when that person runs into that other person.

8. Elijah. So is it worth seeing? There are some moments and some definite surprises that will set up this last run of five episodes. I’m definitely on for the ride, though I seriously hope someone kills April before everything is said and done.

Spoiler From Zap2It - 15th April 2013

We're getting closer to the highly anticipated "Originals" episode. If the new spin-off gets picked up, Rebekah will be joining her brothers in New Orleans -- but her role in the April 25 episode is minimal. As you may know, Claire Holt was the last of the Originals to sign on for the new series, and the script had already been completed when she inked her deal. But don't worry, Rebekah fans -- if "The Originals" gets picked up (and we're hearing VERY good things from our CW sources), there are big, big plans in place for her time in New Orleans.
